Wet drywall does not dry on its own — leave it too long and it stays damp behind the paint, where bacteria and mold set in. We rebuild after leaks and floods, end to end: tear-out, insulation, drywall, texture, paint, and baseboard — across San Diego County.

Why SGP · One-Crew Reconstruction

When a leak goes past the surface.

A stain on the ceiling or a soft spot on the wall is rarely the whole story. Wet drywall holds moisture behind the paint long after the surface looks dry — so the fix is not a patch, it is a rebuild: open it up, dry it right, replace what is damaged, and put the room back so you would never know.

Water damage is not a patch. It is a rebuild done right.

This page is about reconstruction — rebuilding walls and ceilings after water damage, leaks, and floods. We handle the part most homeowners dread: the tear-out, the insulation, the drywall, and the texture and paint that make it disappear.

Most homeowners do not want to manage a remediation company, a drying crew, a drywaller, a texture guy, and a painter. We are the one crew that rebuilds it — and we coordinate with the drying and remediation side so the handoff does not fall on you.

Dry it right, rebuild it once.

What We Rebuild · Stud to Finish

Everything water touched, put back right.

Once the wet material is out and the cavity is dry, we rebuild the room in order — insulation, drywall, texture, paint, and the trim and baseboard that came off. You get a finished room back, not a patched hole.

It is the rebuild most companies hand off. We keep it under one crew so the texture matches, the paint blends, and nothing gets left “for someone else.”

We do not leave a room half-finished.

Insulation

Wet or compressed insulation pulled and replaced so the wall performs like it should.

Drywall & ceilings

New board hung and finished on walls and ceilings — flat, solid, and ready for texture.

Texture & paint

Texture matched to the surrounding surface and painted so the repair disappears.

Trim & baseboard

Baseboard and trim removed for the work go back on — the room finished, not just fixed.

Common Sources · Leaks & Floods

Where the water usually comes from.

Most reconstruction jobs trace back to the same handful of sources. Wherever it started, the rebuild is the same: open, dry, and put it back right.

Leaks, floods, and slow drips.

From a burst supply line to a roof leak that sat for weeks — we rebuild the wall or ceiling once it is dry.

Plumbing & supply-line leaks
Roof & ceiling leaks
HVAC drain-line overflow
Water heater failure
Flooding & slab water
Bath, shower & toilet overflow

Wet drywall needs attention fast — the longer it stays damp, the more likely bacteria and mold form behind the paint. When drying or abatement is needed, we hand off to our remediation partner, NX PRO, for a smooth transition — then we handle the full rebuild once the area is dry and cleared.

Reconstruction Services · The Rebuild

What a full reconstruction covers.

From the first cut to the final coat of paint — these are the pieces we handle so the water damage disappears for good.

01

Controlled Tear-Out

Remove wet, swollen, or damaged drywall and material — cut to clean, sound edges, not torn out blindly.

02

Drying Coordination

We work with drying/remediation so the cavity is fully dry before anything gets closed back up.

03

Mold-Aware Removal

Where there is visible mold, we remove affected material and coordinate abatement before we rebuild.

04

Insulation Replacement

Wet or compressed insulation pulled and replaced so the wall is not sealed up damp.

05

Drywall & Ceiling Rebuild

New board hung and finished on walls and ceilings — flat, solid, and ready for texture.

06

Texture Matching

Orange peel, knockdown, or smooth — matched to the surrounding surface so the patch blends in.

07

Paint & Blend

Primed and painted so the repaired area reads as one continuous wall, not a repair.

08

Trim & Baseboard

Baseboard and trim reset, so the room is genuinely finished — not left for another trade.

Our Process · Assess to Final Walk

How a reconstruction runs.

An organized sequence that keeps a stressful situation under control — dried correctly, rebuilt once, and finished clean.

01

Assess

Find the extent of the damage — how far the water traveled and what has to come out.

02

Contain & Protect

Protect the rest of the home, contain the work area, and control dust and debris.

03

Tear-Out

Remove wet drywall, trim, and damaged insulation back to clean, sound material.

04

Dry & Clear

Coordinate drying and any mold abatement so the cavity is dry before it is closed.

05

Insulate & Hang

Replace insulation, then hang new drywall on the walls and ceilings.

06

Texture & Paint

Tape, finish, match the texture, and paint so the repair blends into the room.

07

Trim & Reset

Reinstall baseboard and trim and detail the edges — the room put back together.

08

Final Walk

Walk the finished space together and clean up — the only thing left is the result.

The Distinction · Remediation vs Reconstruction

Remediation dries it. Reconstruction rebuilds it.

They are two different jobs. Remediation / restoration stops the water, dries the structure, and handles mold abatement — that is where our partner NX PRO comes in. Reconstruction is our part: putting the room back with insulation, drywall, texture, paint, and trim.

  • We work hand in hand with NX PRO for drying & abatement
  • We remove affected material and verify it is dry
  • We own the rebuild from stud to finished paint
  • A smooth hand-off so nothing falls on you

Already have a remediation company? We will step right in for the reconstruction. If you do not, we will bring in NX PRO so wet drywall gets dried and cleared before we close anything up.

Working With Your Claim · One Crew

One crew, one rebuild you can track.

Water damage is stressful enough without managing five companies. We keep the reconstruction under one roof and document the work so it is straightforward to share with your insurance or adjuster.

  • Photos and a clear scope of the rebuild
  • Itemized, honest pricing for the reconstruction
  • One point of contact from tear-out to final walk
  • We work alongside your remediation company

We are a drywall reconstruction crew, not an insurance company — but clear documentation and one accountable team make the claim side a lot easier on you.

Knowledge · FAQ

Reconstruction, answered.

It depends on how far the water spread and how long drying takes. A single ceiling or wall can be a few days once it's dry; larger jobs run longer. We won't close a wall until the cavity is properly dried.
We do the tear-out and assessment, but the rebuild waits until the structure is dry. Closing up a damp cavity is exactly how mold and repeat failures happen.
It depends on the area affected, what has to be removed, and how much rebuild and finish work is involved. We give clear, itemized pricing and document the scope — send photos and we'll walk you through it.
Where water sat for a while, it's possible. We remove affected material and, when there's significant mold, coordinate licensed abatement before we rebuild — we don't seal mold inside a wall.
Structural drying and mold abatement are their own specialty — we hand that to our partner, NX PRO, and work hand in hand for a smooth transition. We own the reconstruction once the area is dry and cleared.
Quickly. Wet drywall stays damp behind the paint and, left too long, bacteria and mold start to form. The sooner it's dried or removed, the smaller the rebuild — call as soon as you spot it.
We're not an insurance company, but we document the rebuild with photos and an itemized scope that's straightforward to share with your adjuster. One accountable crew makes the claim side easier.
The source has to be fixed first — usually a plumber or roofer. We can point you in the right direction, then rebuild once the leak is stopped and the area is dry.
Remediation/restoration stops the water, dries the structure, and handles mold. Reconstruction — our part — rebuilds the room: insulation, drywall, texture, paint, and trim.
Yes — wet or compressed insulation is pulled and replaced before the new drywall goes up, so the wall isn't sealed up damp.
That's the whole point of keeping it under one crew — we match the texture and blend the paint so the rebuilt area reads as one continuous wall or ceiling.
Yes — baseboard and trim removed for the work go back on. You get a finished room, not a patched hole with trim left off.
